Apply small risers evenly on the bottom of the ring. This allows
the moisture to pass through weep holes. Proceed with placing the
centre ring on top of the drain flange. |
 |
Cut float sticks to desired length (sticks should not be cut to fit
too tightly into corners or against the wall, as this may puncture the
waterproofing membrane). Place large risers on the end of each
stick. Insert the male tab on the narrow end of the stick into the
selected female socket of the centre ring, so that the top of the stick
and the centre ring are flush.Add extra or extended sticks if needed.
Cover drain holes with masking tape to keep the drain clean. |

Mix the dry ingredients of screed with shovel and trowel.Add
enough water to your premix to bring screed to the consistency of a
compact snowball. This will allow screed to be easily distributed,
trowelled, and compressed. |
 |
Starting with the area farthest from your exit, spread your moistened
premix one section at a time. Slightly over-fill the section and
spread the screed with trowel (or screed stick) by dragging it along
the top surface of float sticks. To finish, lightly compact the screed
with your trowel. |
